MESA, Ariz. – Embry Health opened its newest public drive-through testing location on February 10^th at the old Mervyn’s at 1240 E Main St Mesa, AZ 85203.

Embry Health providers are testing the public for the novel coronavirus between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

The type of test performed at Mervyn’s in Mesa is the anterior nares swab. Embry Health has found great success with this testing method. The test used by Embry Health has a 97% accuracy and a 24-48 hour turnaround time.

Embry Health’s Director of Business Development, Patrick Aiken, loves the work. “Pre-COVID, I was working in the event industry. With music festivals canceled and venues closed down, this has been a great way for me to put my skills to use and hopefully get us back to a point where we can once again host large live events.”

Although most of their sites allow walk-up testing, Aiken says they request patients make an appointment before coming to get tested.
